Yosemite NP - Half Dome

We didn't plan exactly where we to hike - just started with the direction Half Dome. After each break, one or two of us wanted to continue and after a short discussion we kept going - without knowing if half dome would be climbable or not... . But we made it all the way up to the top!

Seppel and the Merced river in the valley where we started, this time early in the morning.

Hiking up the first waterfall - we got completely wet :)

And "suddenly" the rainbow was there, above Terri.

Seppel, on the top of the first waterfall. You can see the trail on the left side of the pic.

After 4 hours of hiking we got closer - that was exciting!

Terri - afraid of the height and bored by our enthusiasm!

Being on quarter dome - we checked Half Dome although it was officially closed. There were cables lying around but no real trail was prepared to get up on the rock. After some discussions, Paul, Seppel, and me, we decided to climb up on the top. Terri waited with our bags and lots of hungry squirrels...

Me on the way up - Seppel climbed in front of me! Terri was waiting in the back with our backpacks!

Seppel and me getting to the top.

On the top...we made it!

That's me - a bit crazy (i know), but i am not afraid of the height. Seppel was so afraid - he couldn't even take the picture!

Seppel - doesn't look so happy - the height!

Already on our way back - everybody was happy. We just had to hike 3-4 hours back to the campground...!

Paul, Seppel and me on a rock!

Paul, doing a ... (i forgot the word)!

Paul and the second waterfall, on our way down!

Terri, just before the first waterfall where we got so wet.
