Paul, a friend of us, came from California. We planned to hike Mt. Baker. But, unfortunately, the weather wasn't with us - it rained almost all the time and besides that we also had wind up to 50 mph!
We left Friday
morning towards Mt. Baker and hiked up to the "base campground",
on Coleman-Deming trail, from the North side.
Paul, Seppel and me: That's the "before" picture, already in rain...

Sebastian and Paul, at the beginning of the trail.

Me on the trail - still wet, packed with rain cloth.

We had to cross many Creeks...

... and climbing via logs over the river: Paul, then me and then Seppel

Me and Paul, crossing the next creek!

Coming
closer to the glacier, finally, after a 3 hour hike.
The wind got very strong already!

We had big trouble to put up the tent in the wind - but we made it. After that we ate inside - couldn't cook because of the wind. We got really fast tired and tried to sleep - but the strong wind kept us awake.

Saturday morning: the weather changed a little bit. The rain stopped but it was still windy. We decided to give it a try on the glacier.

Dressed up: harness, helmet, rope, crampons,...

Due to the strong wind we turned around quite early. Almost back to our tent - you can see already the other tents in the background (red).
