Well, it isn't our backyard but it isn't far away: The North Shore Mountains. We had a late start at 2pm. The drive to the parking lot at 1000m altitude took about 15 minutes. The downhill area is not open yet so we could skin up the groomed runs and ski down.

It wasn't spectacular but it was fun to do a quick lap within two hours. That's why Vancouver is great.
