Curling
Curling is probably the most popular sport in Canada after hockey (ice hockey). During the winter you can watch it all the time on tv. Even we have been in Canada now for 3 years we haven't played it. Kerstin's work mates organized a training session so we joined them.

You use the broom to glide on the ice and not fall over.

The aim of the game is to get your rock as close as possible to the centre of the circle. You can hit every other rock and kick them out of the circle. After each team threw 8 rocks one set is over.

Paul, next time you are gone come to Canada we can play a round or you could also start the first Australian Curling Club.
