Christmas time = holiday time
Or catching up with more friends and family.
We left Offenbach and drove south, going 160 on the autobahn on the left lane.
That was our route for the next two days. From Offenbach we drove via Bamberg and Nürnberg to Grassau.

We stopped in Bamberg to catch up with Seppel's godmother.
This is the old City Hall. Not like a lot of other German cities Bamberg wasn't destroyed during the war. This pic shows the old city hall in the middle of the river.
German oldest pharmacy, founded in 1437.
Victor in front of Bamberg's Dom - Cathedral, build in 1004. You can find more info here on wikipedia.
Seppel, Kerstin and Victor inside the Cathedral area.
Up on the hill on the other side used to be the monks .
Rita, Seppel's Godmother, Seppel and Kerstin.
We went into the typical pub of Bamberg. Here you can buy smoked beer. It smells and tastes like bacon, more info are here on wiki.
Houses along the river.
Victor in the streets of Bamberg.
Some old paintings.
Manfred, Rita's husband is playing on the alphorn. Perhaps you can compare the alphorn the the didgeridoo and call it the swiss didgeridoo, here is a link for more info about it..
A s mall movie of some dudes playing the alphorn so you can imagine what it sounds like.
On the way out we passed a nice bridge, well, perhaps nothing too crazy but nice to see. In terms of engineering: No bracing of the top slender compression cord, sorry, I am gone stop to be a nerd.
In the evening we drove to Stutzi and Marenge in Nürnberg. Well, we tried to drive there but our car sometimes didn't want to. After some trouble shooting we arrived in Nürnberg, Stutzi loaded up the fridge already, thanks buddy.
Marenge
The next morning we had a superb breakfast.
A guy from ADAC (automobile club) came over to check out the car. I couldn't understand a single word he said, bloody German dialect.
The next day we walked through Nürnberg, it was bloody cold.
Some pics of the old town. Most of Nürnberg was bombed since it was the head quarter of the Nazis and had a lot of industrial buildings. Most of the buildings were rebuild after the war.
The famous Christkindel of Nürnberg.
Some more sausage for Victor. Bratwursthäusle.
The castle of Nürnberg.
It was a nice day.
What a solid door, well, looks like this dude was allowed in.
Later on we went to the Zeppelin field and the and the Nazi party rally ground. It is an oppressive place.
