Biathlon World Cup in Whistler - Callahan Valley
Since I am so close and there is no cover fee, I decided I have to go. Unfortunately I had to go by myself because everybody had already plans - but I didn't mind. Luckily the German team won!!! Most of the races were during the week. But the women relay was on a Saturday - so the following pictures are from that one race.
On my way to the stadium, I came by this place. They tested the different waxed skis here - was really interesting to see.
The start: Germany's team number is the 1.

The award ceremony. There were actually two ceremonies: The first one for the race itself and the second one for the Cup.
The Cup was actually a German based cup that is also why you see all the German advertisement in the pictures!
