Garibaldi Neve

We always wanted to do this trip but somehow we never got around. Or perhaps we were scared of it. I think it was one of the best trips we did this year. We (Gerard, Seppel and me) worked only half a day on Friday and drove up to Squamish. We started skinning at around 3:30pm and got to the Elfin Lakes Hut around 6:30pm.

The picture below is so typical for ski touring in the coast mountains.

The next morning we got up early (well, not too early :-)). This is the Elfin Hut where we stayed, in the back you can see Garibaldi Mountain. Kerstin and Gerard.

Here is the route we are going to be on. We started at the south end and went north.

And up it goes. After about one hour Tom and Ed caught up to us, they started on Saturday from the parking lot.
