Hood River
Road Trip No. 2 just started and our first aim was Hood River. Again on the Columbia River. We came through here twice but we never stopped here. I have heard a lot about the riding here but we wanted to check it out ourselves. We went into a bike shop and got a map, pretty amazing those maps.
Hood River
View from Hood River over the Columbia towards Mt. Adams which we climbed / skied last year. Wouldn't mind living here actually.
We followed Hood River south for a bit and got a glimpse of Mt. Hood so we thought perhaps it is climbing season and we could climb it.
After a visit at the Ranger Station and a look at the weather forecast and the climbing board we skipped that plan and concentrated on shredding dirt.
Weather moved in, normally you can see Mt. Hood from here.
We came by a fire watch tower, pretty cool place. You can rent those things out and you can spend a night or a couple of nights in there. From there the views were pretty nice (that's what they are made for). We were even able to see a bit of Mt. Hood.
Back at camp we (Seppel) started a fire.
