Redwoods and the coast

We entered California on the most north western corner. First we drove through the Redwood National Park, pretty impressive trees.

Our car looks so small compared to those trees.

Lots of amazing vegetation ...

benz

... and animals.

Kerstin pushed those two trees just over, pretty strong.

They get up to 300' (about 90 meters) high.

They must be pretty old.

We left the Redwoods and drove towards the coast, pretty amazing to get there after being inland for quite a while.

The landscape and the colours change often, that makes it really unique.

a

The weather wasn't amazing but it added something to it which was nice.

a

Later on we went to a beach for a walk.

a

It is a bit hard to see here but on the left is actually a fresh water lagoon. There were a few of those.

Kerstin enjoying the beach.

We continued our drive for a while till we decided to stop at this spot where we camped and enjoyed the sunset.

a

Not a bad view.

Sunset

a

Only a few more minutes.

a

Good night.
