Cristed Butte, CO - Flag - Bear - Deadmen Gulch Trail
When we did our ski trip 4 months ago we asked people where to go riding in Colorado. The first thing everybody always said wais Christed Butte. Since we heard it so often we thought we check it out. It was worth it, alpine single trail soweit das Auge reicht. Sit back and enjoy.
Kerstin riding uphill on one of the trails.
Some big mountains in the back. I think we were already on 2800 m or so, pretty high to go biking. The air gets pretty thin up here.
This downhill lasted for 4 miles.
Super smooth and fast.
And for sure we had to ride uphill again.
Just before the last uphill, we were sitting on the bikes already 4 or 5 hours.
Last uphill section before the last downhill ride of the day.
The only annoying thing were dirt bikes. Since the area is not a park you are allowed to ride dirt bikes here, crazy, I think they really damage the trails and they are quite loud.
The last downhill through the trees.
We came out of the trail and drove two more miles to find a campground, 15 bucks including free firewood. Pretty good day.
