Bikepark Saalbach

When I was living in Vancouver and checked out bike parks in Europe, Saalbach was always one of the first hit on google. I didn't know what to expect, I didn't even know that there are two mountains where you can ride. Anyway, lets shred europe dirt!

The weather was perfect. After all that rain the days before I got a blue day! First I rode the blue and red line in Hinterglemm. Nothing too special but good to warm up.

After 5 runs I had enough and headed to the X-LINE! Lots of vertical.

Some good mountains around here.

Pretty sick day! I did another four laps here at the X-Line. Each lap has 1000 meters or so. The bottom part is pretty hard so I was tired. I cleaned up my bike and packed up my stuff since I wanted to be in Nurnberg (400 km away) around 6pm to meet Uwe for a ride.

On the way to the car I spotted this wonder of engineering. They built that thing just for skiers. Shop talk is on Victor! What do you think, looks sexy? Look at those cables! The tower and the other stuff, crazy, and that's all for skiers. I must actually say that tower isn't very appealing.

More shop talk: Arndt, spar frames (still don't know how to spell that word)? Any similarities to DC?
