Keith Hut at Duffy Lake Road

4 days skiing in the coast mountains with a cozy hut right in the alpine. The ski in was only 2 hours which we did in the dark do to some funny circumstances. With me came Ed and Dan.

After our first run we went up to Vantage Peak. Once we got to the ridge we had a lunch break. I really needed this one since the other two are ex pro lycra cross country biathlon racers who were in the junior national team. So you can imagine what my heart rate was. I must they they knew how to slow down for me, thanks guys.

Vantage Peak, it wasn't easy to get there since the snow was pretty hard, Ed and Dan.

On the Top, Dan, Ed and me. You can see that thing on my eye, well, I went biking on the Sunday before we left crashed. I had to go to hospital and get it stiched.

Amazing, I am going to miss it!

That's why the road is closed sometimes.

We went down a bit from the top and droped into a nice run.

Can you see our lines, pretty sweet run I must say. Thanks Dan for figuring that out!

By the time we got back to the hut it was almost dark.

Next Day: Again up on Vantage, a the drop in was a bit higher this time.

This was a long amazing run.

It seemed like it would never stop.

After Dan skied all the way down it was my turn. Ed still at the top.

Later on we continued our run in the trees.

Back at the hut we had dinner.

We had cheese foundue to finish off 3 days of amazing skiing.

On the last day the sun came out and put a smile on Dan's face.

We went up the ridge of Matier. Looking over to Vantage and the ridge of Vantage we used to go up the two days before.

Well, that was 3 days of wicked skiing in the coast mountains. I always wanted to do a multi day trip to this hut which you normally can't do. It was good to spent some time up there and I am looking forward to come back ... Thanks Ed and Dan for coming along!
