Colorado

We are in Colorado now. What we do here, well, so far we don't know but it looks pretty promising.

First we went into a bike shop to figure out what's possible and where to go. Since rental bikes were too much for our budget we decided to come back in summer and go biking with our own bikes. Check out the bikes they had in the store, kind of a museum.

You remember that bike, I always want to have it, I think that was back in '97 or so. GT made pretty good full suspension bikes at the time.

Would love to have one of those, me in the front and Kerstin in the back, or the other way around?

We left Fruita and continued our drive. Suddenly we were up on 2500 m and saw some good snow so we went ski touring.

I had his helmet cam on.

Not bad for end of March, well, we were almost at 3000 m.

Later on we continued our drive through Colorado. It is amazing how high the roads go here, I think today we went up to 3000 m on a asphalt road.

I had a look on the map and there were a lot of campgrounds. The map didn't show any elevations of the area. Once we got there we figured out that everything was still closed but we found a picnic area where we could stay. The picture is in our Van.
