Driving through Colorado

That's what we saw when we woke up the next moring.

After being in Moab where it felt like summer we were back in winter climate. Last night was pretty cold, we had ice on the windows when we woke up in our home. The nature kind of wakes up and ice melts away.

Must be cold here in Winter.

After driving for 3 hours we arrived in Leadville. It is a nice little town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Minning was big back in the day here.

It is snowing in town so it should snow in the mountains! Leadville is at 3000 meters, that is higher than the highest mountain in Germany. We could feel the elevation pretty good, the air is a lot thinner than in Vancouver.

We went in a gear shop to get information about skitouring. They helped us a lot and gave us some hints where to go, really great, thanks a lot. If you are ever going to be in the area you should check them out.
