Ski Touring at Independence Pass

We were looking for it in Salt Lake City and we found it in Colorado, it is called powder.

The people in the Backcountry Shop told us to go to Independence Pass; so we did. Independence Pass connects Aspen with the east side of the Rockies. In the Winter it is closed but you still can drive up to 3300 m (the pass is 12000 feet high which is around 3600 m). Since a storm system went through the snow was pretty good.

Kerstin having breakfast in the car. We are getting inovative. Our stove makes perfect fresh crossaints.

The visibility was a lot better than what it looks like, I just have to get better with taking pictures.Well, making good pics in the snow is pretty hard.
