Mount Baldy
One more day in Frisco before we head north towards Jackson and Yellowknife in Wyoming. We talked to someone in a local gear shop and they told us to check out Mt. Baldy in Breckendale. After driving 15 min. we parked the car. We actually could have taken free public transport, amazing.
Again, it was pretty high so we had a hard time, we really felt exhausted for what ever reason. After a while we reached that old mine building.
We continued a bit and stopped and this nice private cabin. The skiing around this area is amazing so to have a cabin here would be great. Unfortunately the snow was pretty bad when we were there.
On the other side, Breckendale ski resort.
We didn't go very far since snow was bad and we were really tired. Kerstin stepped out of her skis and stepped on the snow. She broke through the crust (that's why skiing was pretty bad) and sunk in to her waist, strange snow pack. The snow was like sugar underneath.
The top of the old mining lift.
Nice tie down to balance the moment, shop talk!
Well, that was Central Colorado. Now we are heading north. We really had a good time here. Thanks Janice!
