The Ocean Drive South of Melbourne
Terrie and Paul took us out on the Ocean Drive to see some more of Australia's wildlife. But first we stopped to see the world champion ships in road biking in Geelong.
They were going pretty fast.
Auf geht's Deutschland!
The organizers set up a big screen next to the hill climb so everybody could follow what's happening in the race, pretty good.
The climb was pretty hard.
They had to do the final lap 10 times.
We continued our trip towards the Ocean Drive and had to get gas. I saw this, quite ironical.
And here it is, the Ocean Drive.
Those dudes knew what they were doing.
Could be me ...
... or maybe not. Not getting younger.
After all that work we had to get some food, fish and chips.
And here we saw our first Kangaroos. Kerstin wanted them to jump.
They enjoyed the grass in one of the city golf clubs.
We drove a bit further and saw the next cute animal. I am actually not sure but I think there are two koalas.
Maybe it is a small one with its mum.
Koalas love climbing, they are pretty talented.
They only eat 10 types of eucalyptus leaves. I think there are around one thousand different eucalyptus species or so.
If they don't eat they sleep. Actually the other way around since they sleep 21 hours per day.
After we took a picture of every koala we could see, we drove further along the coast.
We played a bit soccer and Paul kicked the ball into the river.
And we practiced hand stands at the beach.
