Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach

Driving was on. We had to go through Auckland but we didn't check out the city. We stopped in one of the suburbs and had breakfast at the beach.

Kerstin took this picture for her dad. He plays a lot of bowling and dreams of a court like this.

The next stop was Hot Water Beach. A hot spring comes out at the sand beach. At low tide you can dig a pool and lie in it. We were too late so we couldn't do it but we would come back later ...

Next to Hot Water Beach is Cathedral Cove. 8 years ago I was too lazy to go for a walk. My parents, who were with me at the time, did the walk and said it is amazing so we checked it out.

First we saw some wildlife, a monkey in the tree.

The Cathedral doesn't look too amazing on the picture but it was pretty cool.

Lots of sheep in New Zealand.

Later on we went back to the hot springs equipped with a shovel and bathing cloth. I went here about 8 years ago with Johannes and Philipp, cool to come back.

I dug the hole and my sister told me where to dig, good teamwork.

Our hot pool, good fun! We stayed in there for about 2 hours.
