Hawkes Bay and Napier

We had quite a bit of driving to do ...

We stopped for lunch in Wairoa. Nice city next to the river and close to the beach.

Just before Napier was a black sand beach, pretty cool.

My sister almost got caught by a wave. Our friends told us later on that this beach is pretty dangerous. Luckily we didn't go for a swim here.

Later on we went to Sarah's sister (Sally) place where we had a fantastic dinner with her husband (Grant) and Sarah's parents (Sue and David). Thanks a lot guys. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures.
