Kootenay Road trip
2 weeks vacation :-). Finally we could have a longer vacation in Canada. We wanted to check out the eastern part of British Columbia since we haven't been there during the summer. Our first stop was Rossland, then Nelson, Fernie, Mt. Aassiniboine Park, Revelstoke and at the end Sun Peaks, lots of driving to come ...
Our driving route. If you want to check it out on google.map click here.

We left Vancouver on Saturday morning. Well, it wasn't anymore morning when we left :-). Kind of reminded me of the holidays with my parents, perhaps that's what happens when you get older. At least we made it on the same day. Our flatmate (the elefant) came along and gave us some driving directions.
We stopped in Osoyoos and had dinner at the lake, how romantic.
The views were quite nice.
Lake Osoyoos. Can you see that little dam in the middle of the lake, that's where we were sitting just before.
We arrived in Rossland and luckily there was free fire wood :-).
The next day Seppel went for a ride. The trail is called Oasis since it ends in the community called Oasis. The river in the back is the Columbia river which comes out into the Pacific Ocean in Portland next to Mt. Adams where we have been the week before, about 1000 km away.
Later on we went for a swim in a lake.
.
There was a rope swing, good fun.
