Seven Summits trail
The Seven Summit trail is pretty popular at the moment. It is rated by the IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) as one of the epic rides. Our friend Andrew did it last and loved it so we thought we should give it a go even so it would take a while. The trail was built 2 years ago or so, and it cost about 100 000$.
At the beginning of the trail is a map kiosk.
Kerstin riding uphill, hard work.
Good to ride in the forest where it is a bit cooler.
The scenery got quite nice.
Seppel ripping it.
It was dusty.
It was a clear day.
After about 3 hours we had a lunch break in the shade.
.
And we had to do more uphill riding.
One of the Seven Summits, Kerstin is pointing out the next Summits we had to climb.
And finally some downhill riding.
It was warm ...
Riding over some rocks.
Finally the downhill.
To get back to the car Seppel had to hitch hike. Didn't take too long to get a ride. Pretty nice people in Rossland.
Kerstin was pretty tired so she relaxed at the campsite. The whole ride took us about 9 hours for 30 km. Some people do it in 5-6 hours but I think average is 8 hours.
I put a movie together of the ride, check it out.
