Hiking in the Mt. Assiniboine Park
We woke up in our nice Log House to a beautiful clear sky. After packing our stuff together we wanted to leave towards the trail head. The owner of the lodge offered us to give us a ride to the trail head so we could leave our car at the lodge, quite nice.

There was a huge fire a couple of years ago, you still could see the burned trees.

Our new camera. The picture was taken with a colour filter option.

After about 10km we had to cross a river again (Simpson river).

After hiking another 9 km or so we reached the camp ground. Originally we planned to hike further to the next spot but after about 20 km we were tired and the weather got worse and worse...

The weather wasn't amazing, it started to rain so starting a fire wasn't that easy.

The next day we continued to hike towards the pass, Kerstin crossing a small bridge.

First time we could see Mt. Assiniboine, well, the base of it. The peak was covered in clouds.

We had to fill up water.

So now we had to put our rifles away, too bad.

We got closer to the base of Mt. Assiniboine where our camp ground is. Kerstin is hiking along the lake.

Just before getting to the campground. Mt Assiniboine in the back, hidden by clouds and rain!
