After a couple of visits to different dentists and a lot of money I got a root canal treatment done (wikipedia), not too much fun those things! Well, at least I hope I can go shredding soon again.

Wapta Traverse, it came a bit different than we planed but it was still pretty amazing ...

Rest day and packing. We will head out tomorrow for 7 days on a ski traverse. We booked 3 huts, stay at each hut 2 nights. The Wapta Traverse. We start at the Peyto Lake (the lake on the top of the map below) and go over the ice fields. The marker "A" represents a hut, cu in one week.

More powder hunting but it was all crust since the sun was out yesterday for 12 hours, it is spring.

Later on we had a nice fire at Dan's place.

Since Kerstin skied some nice terrain we headed out again and were looking for similar stuff, well, all we found was this:

I guess it is fair enough to say we followed the wrong tracks. On the way home we drove by a really nice lake just above Canmore.

Glacier National Park close to the canadian border. We thought we check it out. Since the weather was bad, all roads were closed and there was no snow at lower elevations we couldn't do much. We got a pretty good hiking map for the summer and we plan to come back if we don't run out of time. Later on we drove back into Canada. It felt like coming home. This feeling didn't last long. We got to the border and a really friendly border officer asked us dumb questions.
Later on we drove up the Canadian Rockies and went to the Luisser Hot Springs where we have been 2 years ago in summer, kind of cool to come back.
