Work christmas party, once a year Seppel takes the tie out of the wardrobe. We played bingo and Seppel won a digital camera. Our old one is just breaking down so it was time to get a new one anyway. Actually Seppel went already into shops to have a look for a new one but he thought he should wait for the christmas party. And, it worked :)

Vancouver is not a bad place to life. I got up early and drove up the local hill, put on my skis and my skins and hiked up the mountain. I got some fresh pow in and the views were quite not bad ...

Winter is coming. Well, it hasn't really arrived. We can't go night skiing because there is no snow so far on the local hills. It snowed quite a bit already in Whistler (about 40'' = 100cm) but not here. For a ride after work it is too dark so we do night riding once in a while. What is night riding? Well, you buy or build a big head lamp which you can mount to your helmet. Since it is cold and wet during this time of the year you preferable have some warm equipment. I got some awesome Merino (Merino is a sheep) socks of Andrew's Mom, they are just great and warm. One day when I come to New Zealand again I will buy a whole box of socks. Thanks Meg.

It is time to say goodbye ... . Our car reached the 222222 km. The transmission is slipping since a while and we are looking for a new one but BC is just crazy, used cars are so expensive. Well, hopefully I can post soon the new car. We bought our old car with 171000 km so we drove about 50000 km, not bad in 2 years.

A dream came true. I was listening to them since I can remember to listen to music. I always wanted to go to a concert of them in Germany about 10 years ago. Suddenly they broke up so I thought I won't see them anymore. About a year ago they re joint again and went on tour again. Luckily we got tickets. It was a great show. Oh, the bands name: Smashing Pumpkins

They even played a lot of the old songs from the album: "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness":

1979, Tonight, Bullet with butterfly wings and much more.

It was a great evening and that on Kerstin's birthday.

I got a sun burn on site. Well, the summer wasn't amazing in Vancouver so far. During the week it is not too bad but on the weekends it is always raining, as long as I can remember (at least since 2 months). My boss called me: "Red Neck" :-).
